The Trio

Percussion - John Metcalf

John Metcalf's style of playing percussion is somewhat of an adaptation of ideas on playing drumset, as well as incorporating afro-cuban rhythms he has studied through the years. Having performed hundreds of shows with various acts, he's grown accustomed to pleasing an audience ranging from a few, doing ambient background gigs, to playing in front of thousands in large venues. He plays Latin Percussion Congas and Bongos, along with a hand cymbal and foot tambourine, as well as other "bells and whistles". Currently residing in Cary, North Carolina, he spends his off time from office work working on several different musical scenarios.
